could you please add an option for a non pixelart font? the game is really fun but most of the text is completely unreadable. i have no idea what any of the upgrades do it looks like its writtten in runes

Thanks for your Feedback!
Yes, I agree, the font is hard to read. We might push a little update with changed fonts this week.

I like it, but, is there a menu I'm missing somewhere that lets you, like, exit the game? I've had to just force stop it so far. Maybe just an option under the ?

There's currently no close game button. We always used either Browser closing or Alt f4. :)

Hello, overall I really like the game.

Hopefully more content will be added in the future, ive bookmarked the game and followed to receive updates from you, im hyped. I like the music, the sounds, the "voices" of the customers. The funny stories they tell why they need the item, the characters themself and how they speak to you. I like that there are many characters from different genres. The Art is really cool, I like the style and the different backgrounds. The cat sleeping is so cute. The Characters are really well done and the icons look fantastic.

And this all done within 5 days, like daym.

Overall I had a great time.

I have a few things that Id like to see improve:

Item gathering: I think it would be better if I a) dont have to gather items or b) i actually have to do things. chop wood, mine copper, or go to a market and buy it, maybe hire someone who buys it for me. As it is now its just tedious and it doesnt add anything to the game.

Sharpening: I dont know why but I cant get it really sharp. Ive restarted it multiple times to get the tutorial text but im too stupid for it.

Customer Sastisfaction: If the guy asks for a Hammer and I give him a Dagger he shouldnt be happy. Heck, he even can decline the item and leave me a bad google review (did they have google reviews back in the day?)

Item Forging: I dont like the restrictions. why does a dagger need an 8 Pixel blade? If the customer is being an arsehole he gets a big handle with a 1 pixel blade. Sadly i had to give him an actual dagger.

Some very nitpicky things:

If you switch menus fast, after a while you get the hang of it, the music switching becomes a bit dizzy. Backyard is also pretty loud compared to the others.

Maybe i can ask the Customers a few questions? What did the neighbor do to deserve only a small hammer injury? Maybe they can talk back, integrate ChatGPT in this and let me have some dialogue options with Sanji.

Overall i really like the game and ill get notified once you add some more to this.

Alex

Looks very good so far. I hope you continue developing this into a full game.

A few bugs I noticed in the web browser version (I'm using Firefox on a Mac. I haven't tried the downloadable version):

  • In full screen the anvil, counter and cat are misaligned in the Workshop screen and the material titles and highlights and question mark button are misaligned in the Forge screen.
  • Typo in one of the kid's requests, “Hello! I need a knew Scythe for my father”.

And a few suggestions:

  • Include the day display and customers waiting number on the Forge and Backyard screens.

  • Backyard access button on the Counter screen and visa versa.

  • When discarding items in the Forge screen give an option to also open the book to select a new item.

  • Buttons to return to the Counter from the Build new items book and Learn new skills scroll.

Great suggestions! Thanks for your Feedback!

Not familiar with Macs, what's your resolution? :)

I'm using a MacBook Pro 16". The screen resolution is 3456 × 2234 (254 ppi). I'm getting the same offset bug in the current versions of Safari, Chrome and Firefox.
